				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Born Bad, c’est d&#8217;abord l’histoire de Jean-Baptiste Guillot, élevé en banlieue et biberonné à Lavilliers, Higelin et Ferré comme aux Sex Pistols et aux Ramones. Fasciné par le folklore rock’n’roll (les bandes, les bécanes et la baston), il fait néanmoins son droit, intègre la major EMI avant de se faire virer – excellente nouvelle ! Grâce au pactole obtenu, il monte Born Bad en 2006, et le reste appartient à l’Histoire. À la manière de Rough Trade ou New Rose, ce label s’adosse au disquaire parisien du même nom et défend, les premiers temps, une certaine idée du rock’n’roll et du (post) punk, via les disques de Frustration ou de Magnetix. Peu à peu, la maison s’ouvre à d’autres esthétiques (Cheveu, La Femme, Forever Pavot, Julien Gasc…) et fouille le passé pour en exhumer des trésors oubliés : des fameuses compilations <em>Wizzz</em> à Francis Bebey, de Pierre Vassiliu aux archives électropunk de Stephan Eicher. Pour cette soirée anniversaire, les tauliers <strong>Frustration</strong>, les mélodies kraut façon Carpenter de <strong>Zombie Zombie</strong>, la shlag wave de <strong>Gwendoline</strong> et l’electro noise de <strong>Leroy Se Meurt</strong> démontrent, chacun à sa façon, l’importance de ce label farouchement indépendant.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>D’un côté <a href="https://www.lm-magazine.com/blog/2020/10/03/catastrophe/" target="_blank">Catastrophe</a>, collectif polymorphe et pluridisciplinaire né en 2016 et adepte d’une pop lettrée, ouverte aux quatre vents – on y croise des Michel (Berger, Legrand), Childish Gambino ou Abba. De l’autre, le trio <a href="https://www.lm-magazine.com/blog/2023/01/30/forever-pavot-2/" target="_blank">Forever Pavot</a>, vocoder, pop psyché, prog rock et BO du cinéma français des seventies. Deux univers, mais une même envie de faire dérailler joliment la pop.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lorsque votre ami Brice indique, extirpant de son sac en toile un vinyle tout neuf, « <em>c’est signé chez Born Bad</em> », plusieurs informations se télescopent dans votre esprit : il est décidément bien snob, ce Brice, mais il a bon goût. Et, surtout, ne serait-ce pas l’accomplissement pour une écurie d’artistes d’être citée comme un gage de qualité, prévalant même sur l’identité de ses poulains ? C’est la prouesse réalisée par ce label parisien fondé par JB Wizz, et qui fête ses 15 ans. Comment cette maison en est-elle arrivée là ? Que s&#8217;est-il passé entre sa première référence (un EP de Frustration en 2006) et cette reconnaissance qui s’étend jusqu&#8217;aux colonnes du <em>Figaro</em> ? Il y a le succès populaire du premier album de La Femme en 2013. Citons aussi ces rééditions qui consacrent Born Bad comme le conservateur en chef d’un patrimoine musical englouti. Et puis l&#8217;essentiel : des signatures remarquables, qui en font le meilleur radar de la production hexagonale à guitares. À Lille, on attend quatre de ses ambassadeurs dans un format &#8220;B2B&#8221;, où les groupes jouent en alternance sur la grande scène et celle, plus intimiste, du club. Au programme ? Un hommage à la pop (Arthur Satàn), une variation glam du shoegaze (Bryan’s Magic Tears), du post- punk trempé dans le disco (Vox Low) et un cocktail de garage tropical (Cannibale). Noté, Brice ?</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>La bande mythique de Born Bad Records a cassé la baraque en 2016 : un 3e album plus brut que les précédents et encensé par la critique, des concerts partout en Europe où ils ont partagé l’affiche avec Ty Segall et leurs potes de Sleaford Mods, pour ne citer qu’eux. Autant dire que pour leur 15e année d’existence, les vétérans du post-punk à la française ne sont pas prêts de raccrocher les gants. On attend avec impatience la déferlante de guitares et synthés de ces dignes héritiers de The Fall ou Wire.</p>
