				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Il est longtemps resté dans l’ombre, composant plutôt pour les autres (Gréco, Salvador&#8230;). Après une longue absence, <a href="http://www.art-mengo.com/" target="_blank">Art Mengo</a> revient dans la lumière. On se rassure, le Toulousain a conservé sa voix éraillée, qu&#8217;il pose sur des sonorités latines teintées de jazz. Sur scène, il rejoue ses classiques comme <em>Les parfums de sa vie</em>, au sein d&#8217;une formation acoustique (piano, guitare, contrebasse) soutenue par le chant de <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Julie-Oz-800646520080395/" target="_blank">Julie Oz</a>. Le désormais quinquagénaire dévoile aussi quelques inédits – en amont d&#8217;un prochain album ? Il travaillerait de plus sur un spectacle dedié à l&#8217;Aéropostale. On risque de le recroiser – tant mieux, beaucoup l&#8217;ont tant aimé.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Apparue à la fin du siècle dernier, Stacey Kent s&#8217;est fait un nom dans le jazz vocal avec un chant singulier, donc, mais entonné en plusieurs langues. Celle de Shakespeare bien sûr, ou encore de Camões que l’Américaine a découverte à 14 ans en écoutant <em>Getz / Gilberto</em>, album marquant la rencontre entre la note bleue et la bossa nova. Depuis lors, son répertoire (15 disques, deux millions d&#8217;exemplaires vendus) reste imprégné par ce sentiment doux-amer qu&#8217;on appelle saudade, « <em>parfaite balance entre la joie et la mélancolie</em> » dit-elle. Cette polyglotte colle aussi des frissons à l’Hexagone avec ses reprises (dans un français parfait) de Gainsbourg (<em>Les Amours perdues</em>) ou Ferré (<em>Avec le temps</em>). En 2009, elle fut même décorée de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (on vous l&#8217;accorde, ça ne veut rien dire : Christophe Maé ou Zazie le sont aussi&#8230;).</p>

<p><strong>Des muses</strong></p>
<p>L&#8217;autre grande force de Stacey, c&#8217;est sa capacité à (bien) s&#8217;entourer : Roberto Menescal, cofondateur de la bossa, a composé pour elle et Kazuo Ishiguro, prix Nobel de littérature, lui a écrit quelques chansons (sans compter celles de son saxophoniste de mari : Jim Tomlinson). Sur scène, cette grande fan de Joni Mitchell déploie un phrasé délicat au sein d&#8217;une formation intimiste : contrebasse, piano, batterie, saxo et flûte. Bref, elle est à la fois classe et gracieuse. &#8220;Classieuse&#8221;, pour reprendre un néologisme de l&#8217;homme à la tête de chou, et semblant inventé pour elle.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jazz et alanguie. Telle se présentait <a href="https://www.alaniofficial.com/" target="_blank">Ala.ni</a> le long de quatre Eps saisonniers parus en 2015. L&#8217;ex-choriste de Mary J. Blige ou Blur prenait son envol (et nous avec), le long de chansons nocturnes, évoquant quelque piano-bar fantasmé. On songeait, forcément, à Judy Garland ou Julee Cruise. Son premier LP (<em>You &amp; I</em>, 2016) confirmait tout le bien que l&#8217;on pensait d&#8217;elle – et plus encore, au vu des remixes signés Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound). Sur les planches, la Londonienne, entourée d&#8217;un piano, d&#8217;une contrebasse, d&#8217;un violoncelle, d&#8217;une harpe et d&#8217;une rythmique discrète, offre à chaque concert une excellente définition de la classe délicate.</p>
