				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>La brillante Eno Williams chante en Ibibio, un dialecte du Niger. La musique de son groupe,<a href="https://ibibiosoundmachine.com/" target="_blank"> Ibibio Sound Machine</a>, adopte quant à elle un langage universel. Il suffit de quelques mesures de ce synth-funk, qui doit autant aux racines du genre qu’à ses ramifications postmodernes, pour que les jambes s’emballent. Toujours épaulée par la guitare ghanéenne du vétéran Alfred Bannerman, Williams confirme les promesses de son classieux premier album. <em>Uyai</em> puise plus franchement dans les sonorités des années 1980 : les synthés volent aux cuivres seventies la part du lion. Portant un message féministe, ses rythmes font de chaque titre (des phrases électro de <em>The Chant</em> aux sonorités Marvin Gaye de<em> Lullaby</em>) un tube en puissance.</p>
