Tao Lin compose le tableau d&#8217;une génération déprimée mais romantique, qui noie sa frustration dans l&#8217;humour noir et l&#8217;hyperconsommation. Dakota Fanning et Haley Joel Osment sont amoureux via Gmail. Elle a 16 ans et mange trop dans le New Jersey, il en a 22 et écrit des poèmes à New-York. Il va tenter de la sauver de l&#8217;anxiété et de la boulimie. S&#8217;il ne suffit pas de raconter des histoires de gosses de riches suicidaires pour devenir le nouveau Bret Easton Ellis, Tao Lin parvient à rendre émouvants ces deux êtres, produits dérivés d&#8217;un système qu&#8217;ils méprisent.</p>
