On oublie trop souvent des labels tels Lu Pine, Sidra, Impact&#8230; Ces maisons de disques sont un peu l&#8217;AJ Auxerre de la soul de Détroit. Comprendre : elles ont hébergé nombre d&#8217;artistes qui formeront ensuite la légende des labels Stax, Atlantic ou Motown. <a href="https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/soul-on-fire-the-detroit-soul-story-1957-1977/" target="_blank">Ce florilège colossal</a> (86 morceaux, 3 CD) invite à découvrir ces grands noms. Citons les premiers singles des Falcons (parmi lesquels Eddie Floyd, Mark Rice ou Wilson Pickett) ou des Primettes, que le monde entier connaît désormais sous le nom des… Supremes. Embarrassants, ces débuts ? Que nenni ! Ces artistes possèdent un tel feu sacré qu&#8217;il est impossible de ne pas succomber.</p>
