De Bob Dylan au Velvet, de Neil Young à Chuck Berry, l’Américain a trop d’influences pour qu’on puisse le caser. C’est à la fois ce qui fait son charme et son drame, lui qui disparaîtra dans l’oubli comme un poète maudit d’avoir trop aimé. Il s’en fiche sans doute. Et nous aussi. Du moment qu’il décoche des albums fulgurants comme <em>Day of The Dog</em>.</p>
