				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Parmi les songwriters enchantant la pop d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui, des plus sages comme Jack Cooper (foncez sur son <em>Sandgrown</em>) aux plus fous comme Ariel Pink, ce David West occupe une position médiane. Venu d’Australie et passé par moult formations indie, le New-Yorkais livre sur ce premier LP un chapelet de chansons expansives. Ce disque protéiforme est capable d’évoquer M. Ward (le morceau-titre) et plus ponctuellement Primal Scream. Il enchaîne sans vergogne des blues lascifs avec des capsules dansantes irrésistibles comme <em>Soft</em> – l’exemple même du titre qui ne vous lâche plus. La limite ? À force de rouler des pelles à tous les genres, <em>Cherry on Willow</em> flirte avec l&#8217;inconstance. Au vu du plaisir procuré on ne va pas s’en plaindre.</p>
